The EPM Adventure Resort project is well-known and highly regarded for its original and innovative creations in Minecraft. Every year, hundreds of players from all over the world are amazed by the architecture, cuisine and traditional décor of European countries, all recreated with great attention to detail. Whether you’re a fan of Europa-Park or a Minecraft enthusiast, young or old, a beginner or an experienced player, we’re looking for talented individuals keen to contribute to an exciting project.

### Our department and their teams

* **Management**: Project management, oversight, coordination, human resources and many other stakeholders are all involved in ensuring the smooth running of the entire Minecraft Resort.

* **Marketing, Sales & Digital**: The *Social Media* team develops and coordinates campaigns and initiatives that are entirely focused on its target market. All communications relating to the project are produced by the *Social Media* team.

* **Guest Relations & Experience**: This department is a key part of the project. Here, all the cogs must mesh together, and the operations managers organise the day-to-day scheduling of the servers. You could take on roles such as community coordination, moderation or management.

* **EPM Solutions**: This department is our consultancy and development hub. We are shaping the future of entertainment in Minecraft. The team develops ideas for the attractions of tomorrow and takes pride in contributing to the daily enjoyment of thousands of players around the world.

For management roles, it is essential to be proficient in a foreign language (French and/or German) in addition to English.

#### Prerequisites

* **Knowledge**: You should be able to draw on a **certain amount of knowledge** (about the Europa-Park universe and Minecraft) to carry out the tasks assigned to you. Proficiency in French, both written and spoken, is essential. For other roles, the reverse may sometimes apply. In such cases, proficiency in French or German is mandatory.
* **Personal qualities**: depending on the role you are applying for, there may be an age requirement. Please read the role requirements carefully to check whether you match the profile we are looking for. A certain level of maturity is also essential in order to understand and respond appropriately to various situations.
* **Skills**: specific skills are required for certain roles. You should be able to carry out the tasks with ease and in a practical manner.

### Preparing your application

#### Application form

There is no such thing as a perfect application, but a complete application pack will make it much easier for you to join our team. Here is a list of the information we require to ensure your application is processed as efficiently as possible:

1. Your first name and your Minecraft username
2. Your age and date of birth
3. A personal statement (educational and/or professional background, your interests, your personality)
4. Your motivations (reasons for applying, your experience and skills)
5. Your availability (any constraints, your schedule, your contact details)
6. Depending on the role you’re applying for, we strongly recommend including screenshots of your original creations (always specify whether your creation is individual or collaborative, where applicable).

#### You are asking

Once you’ve identified a role, prepare your application. Take stock of your strengths and weaknesses. Ask yourself why you want to apply to work with us.

It’s important to be able to bring together a number of factors to convince the recruiter that you’re the right person we’re looking for in this role.

You don’t need to have THE RIGHT answer to every question listed above. Bear in mind that, above all, it’s your personality and your motivation that are the key criteria for us.

Here is a list of questions that may help you:

* *How do I stand out from the other candidates?*
* *What added value can I bring to the project?*
* *What is my personality like? What are my strengths? What are my qualities?*
* *What experience do I have in this field?*

#### Writing my presentation (step 3)

When introducing yourself, you should cover the following points:

* Your educational and/or professional background
* Your interests (your passions/hobbies, your extracurricular activities, your involvement in voluntary organisations, etc.)
* Your personality (interpersonal skills, your strengths, your character, etc.)

#### Explaining your reasons (step 4)

As well as your application, it is important to highlight your experience. Please feel free to explain your motivations, as your application is not always the only factor in our selection process.

### The ticket on Discord

Go to our Discord server and select the support channel. To open a ticket:

1. Select the `open-a-ticket` channel.
2. Click on the <mark style="color:$success;">green button</mark> `Application`.

### Submitting your application

Once the ticket has been opened, please send us your complete application. You can type your application directly on Discord or send us a letter in PDF format. We do not require any specific format; the main thing is that we receive your application.

#### Processing your application

Once you have submitted your application, if a member of our team asks you to wait, this confirms that your application has been received. There is therefore no need to follow up on your application within the next 24 hours.

* **Order of receipt**: As a general rule, we process applications in the order in which they are received. The sooner your application is submitted, the sooner it is likely to be processed.
* **Waiting list**: Depending on the role, a waiting list may be necessary. In this case, we will let you know what to do next.

### The Discord Interview

Once your application has been reviewed, the head of the relevant department will contact you to arrange an interview on the Discord server.

This stage is the most crucial. The recruiter and a member of staff will be there to listen to you. We will discuss the onboarding process, sensitive security-related information and other important details. This initial meeting will give us the chance to get to know you.

This interview is compulsory, regardless of the candidate or the role they are applying for. In exceptional circumstances (e.g. no microphone, no internet connection, or a disability), this interview may be replaced by a private written exchange with the head of department. Please make sure to specify this in your application if this applies to you.

### The probationary period (trainee)

Once we have made our decision, we will let you know via the same ticket. Your probationary period will then begin.

Every successful candidate undergoes a probationary period, during which you will be a trainee. This is your only opportunity to discover the world of EPM Resort from a staff member’s perspective. Throughout this period, please feel free to ask questions; we’ll be on hand to answer them.

* Trainees have higher permissions than regular players. You will therefore be expected to demonstrate a serious attitude and to follow the internal guidelines carefully.

Your probationary period is coming to an end, so we’re removing your ‘Trainee’ role.

You’ll officially be assigned your staff role on Discord and in Minecraft, along with the corresponding permanent permissions.
